Privacy Policy

Nozomi Okada offers Gappon as a freemium service, provided as is.

This privacy policy is intended to inform you about the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information when you use our service.

By using our service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. We do not sell your personal information, and we share it only with the service providers described in this policy as necessary to operate and improve the service.

Information Collection and Use

To enhance your experience with our service, we may ask you to provide certain personally identifiable information, such as your username and email address. This information is retained and used solely for the purpose of providing and improving our service.

The app uses Google Firebase services (Google LLC), including a real-time database and Crashlytics for crash reporting. Firebase may collect information to identify you. When a crash occurs, Crashlytics automatically collects non-personal diagnostic data such as stack traces, device model, OS version, and app version. For more information, please refer to Google’s privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

When you download an additional language (such as Portuguese), the app retrieves the list of available languages and the language data from Firebase (Cloud Firestore and Cloud Storage). To protect these downloads from abuse, the app uses Firebase App Check, which confirms through Apple App Attest (iOS) or Google Play Integrity (Android) that requests come from the genuine app. On the account page of our website, Firebase App Check uses Google reCAPTCHA (Google LLC) to protect sign-in and account creation from automated abuse; reCAPTCHA collects information about your browser and how you interact with the page, which is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Usage Analytics

To decide how to improve the app (for example, which languages to add next), the app uses Google Analytics for Firebase (Google LLC) to learn how the app is used. The following information is sent to Google:

• Your settings in the app: the pair of languages you read in, whether the second language is shown (and side by side or stacked), whether the pair is still the default, the languages downloaded, and whether you have Gappon Premium.
• Which Gappon Premium feature you tried to use when the purchase screen opened (for example, highlights or side-by-side display), and, for a language pair that requires Gappon Premium, the pair you chose.
• Information collected automatically by Google Analytics for Firebase: an app-instance identifier generated for this purpose, the number and length of sessions, the screens viewed, the app version, the device model and OS version, the device language, and the approximate region (country level).

This information does not include your name, email address, account, or the scriptures, bookmarks, highlights, or notes in the app. The app does not collect the advertising identifier (IDFA or Android Advertising ID), and the information is not used for advertising or tracking across other companies’ apps. It is used only to improve the app and is kept for up to 14 months.

On devices whose region is set to a country in the European Union or the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, nothing is sent unless you agree when the app asks, and you can change your choice at any time with “Send Usage Data” in the Account tab. Turning it off also resets the app-instance identifier. For more information, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

When you purchase Gappon Premium on our website, payments are processed by Stripe (Stripe, Inc.) and subscription entitlements are managed by RevenueCat, Inc. Your payment card details are entered directly with Stripe and are not stored by us. RevenueCat receives an identifier associated with your account so that your subscription can be recognized across your devices. Data Retention and Account Deletion

We retain your personal information for as long as your account remains active.

You can delete your account at any time on the My Account page of our website: sign in, open “Account settings”, and select “Delete account”. This permanently deletes your account (email address, username, and password) and the bookmarks, highlights, notes, and reading position synced to the cloud. Data saved in the app on your device is removed when you delete the app.

Purchase records are kept by the payment providers (RevenueCat, Stripe, the App Store, and Google Play) for accounting and legal purposes. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription purchased through the App Store or Google Play, so please cancel it in the store. A subscription purchased on our website must be canceled before the account can be deleted.

We may update this privacy policy periodically. We advise you to review this page regularly for any changes. Changes to this policy are effective immediately upon posting on this page.

Gappon（以下「本アプリ」といいます）は、Nozomi Okadaによりフリーミアムアプリとして提供されています。本アプリに関するサービス（以下「本サービス」といいます）は、現状のまま提供されています。

このプライバシーポリシーは、ご利用になる皆様（以下「利用者」といいます）の個人情報の収集、使用、開示についてお知らせするものです。

利用者は本サービスを利用することで、本ポリシーに記載されている情報の収集と使用に同意するものとします。当社は利用者の個人情報を販売することはなく、本ポリシーに記載するサービス提供者に対し、本サービスの提供・改善に必要な範囲でのみ共有します。

取得情報および利用目的

本サービスのさらなる品質向上のために、ユーザー名やEメールアドレスなどの特定の個人情報を提供していただく場合があります。この情報は、本サービスの提供と改善のためにのみ保持され、使用されます。

本アプリは、Google LLCが提供するGoogle Firebaseサービス（リアルタイムデータベース、およびクラッシュレポートのためのFirebase Crashlytics）を利用しています。Firebaseは個人を特定する情報を収集する場合があります。また、クラッシュ発生時にはCrashlyticsがスタックトレース・デバイス情報（機種名・OSバージョン）・アプリバージョン等の診断情報を自動収集しますが、これらは個人を特定するものではありません。詳細については、Googleのプライバシーポリシー（https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=ja）をご確認ください。

追加の言語（ポルトガル語など）をダウンロードする際、本アプリはダウンロード可能な言語の一覧と言語データをFirebase（Cloud FirestoreおよびCloud Storage）から取得します。また、これらのダウンロードの不正利用を防ぐため、Firebase App Checkを利用し、Apple App Attest（iOS）またはGoogle Play Integrity（Android）により、リクエストが正規のアプリからのものであることを確認しています。本ウェブサイトのアカウントページでは、サインインやアカウント作成の自動化された不正利用を防ぐため、Firebase App CheckがGoogle LLCの提供するGoogle reCAPTCHAを利用します。reCAPTCHAはブラウザの情報やページの操作に関する情報を収集し、これにはGoogleのプライバシーポリシーと利用規約が適用されます。

利用状況の計測

本アプリは、改善の方針（たとえば次に追加する言語）を決めるため、Google LLCが提供するGoogle Analytics for Firebaseを利用して、本アプリの利用状況を把握しています。Googleに送信される情報は次のとおりです。

• 本アプリ内の設定：表示している言語の組み合わせ、第2言語を表示しているか（左右・上下のどちらで表示しているか）、言語の組み合わせが初期設定のままか、ダウンロードした言語、Gapponプレミアムを利用しているか
• 購入画面が表示されたときに使おうとしたGapponプレミアムの機能（例：ハイライト、左右に並べた表示）、およびGapponプレミアムが必要な言語の組み合わせの場合は選んだ組み合わせ
• Google Analytics for Firebaseが自動的に収集する情報：本機能のために生成されるアプリの識別子、セッションの回数と長さ、表示した画面、アプリのバージョン、端末の機種名・OSバージョン、端末の言語、おおよその地域（国単位）

これらの情報には、氏名、Eメールアドレス、アカウント、本アプリ内の聖典・ブックマーク・ハイライト・メモは含まれません。本アプリは広告識別子（IDFAおよびAndroid広告ID）を収集せず、送信した情報を広告や他社のアプリをまたいだトラッキングに使用することはありません。情報はアプリの改善のみに使用し、最長14か月保持されます。

端末の地域が欧州連合（EU）・欧州経済領域（EEA）・英国・スイスの国に設定されている場合は、本アプリが確認した際に同意いただかない限り送信しません。同意した後も、アカウントタブの「利用状況を送信」でいつでも変更できます。オフにすると、アプリの識別子もリセットされます。詳細については、Google のサービスを使用するサイトやアプリから収集した情報の Google による使用をご確認ください。

本ウェブサイトでGapponプレミアムをご購入いただく場合、お支払いはStripe（Stripe, Inc.）により処理され、サブスクリプションの権利はRevenueCat, Inc.によって管理されます。クレジットカード情報はStripeに直接入力され、当社が保存することはありません。RevenueCatは、お客様のサブスクリプションを複数の端末間で認識するために、お客様のアカウントに関連付けられた識別子を受け取ります。詳細は、Stripeのプライバシーポリシー（https://stripe.com/privacy）およびRevenueCatのプライバシーポリシー（https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy）をご確認ください。

データの保持とアカウントの削除

お客様の個人情報は、アカウントが有効な期間中保持されます。

アカウントは、本ウェブサイトのマイアカウントページからいつでも削除できます。サインインして「アカウント設定」を開き、「アカウントを削除」を選んでください。アカウント（メールアドレス・ユーザー名・パスワード）と、クラウドに同期したブックマーク・ハイライト・メモ・読書位置が完全に削除されます。端末の本アプリに保存されているデータは、本アプリを削除すると消去されます。

購入の記録は、会計上・法令上の必要から決済事業者（RevenueCat・Stripe・App Store・Google Play）が保持します。App StoreまたはGoogle Playで購入したサブスクリプションは、アカウントを削除しても解約されないため、各ストアで解約してください。本ウェブサイトで購入したサブスクリプションは、解約してからアカウントを削除してください。
